Laboratory Accreditation Scheme and Activies of JAB

JAB has published laboratory accreditation criteria based on international guides and Standards. The assessment of laboratories is carried out against these criteria.
Laboratories found to conform are granted accreditation and the details of their accreditation status are available on the JAB website. Each laboratory is accredited as competent to undertake specific tests or calibrations within its scope of accreditation.
Test/calibration reports within the scope for which the laboratory is accredited may carry the JAB symbol or logo. This confirms that the test/calibration data included in the report can be relied on and will be recognized internationally and accepted by JAB's Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) partners.
Recognition of accreditation by JAB does not automatically extend to regulated areas specified by domestic mandatory laws, although regulators in some countries do now accept accredited test reports.

The fields in which JAB has granted for accreditation to laboratories are as follows:

Electric testing

Hi-voltage/High-power testing
