Reference Material Producers
Regarding the accreditation of reference material producers based on ISO Guide 34, JAB has accredited two institutions (two producers of reference materials for medical testing) as of March 2014.
Reference material producers that receive accreditation are expected to gain further credibility as institutions with the technical competence to provide reference materials of the appropriate quality.
The certified reference materials themselves are also recognized as evidence of traceability.
JAB has made a formal application for APLAC MRA in connection with reference material producers accreditation and we look forward to a successful conclusion based on the results of assessments.
